In this Ted talk speaker and Economics professor Larry Smith breaks down the reason why people forget about their own raison d’etre and refuse to pursue their dreams.

“You’re afraid you may fail…but you’re afraid – that’s why you are not going to have a great career.”

I suppose people develop excuses for their own lack of success and that the pursuit of our dreams don’t come at an actual cost but our perceptions limit us. There is no unless, or “if only,” opportunity does not simply present itself. You must pursue it.
